Pensions

Our position on pensions

Pensions comprise one of the most important employment conditions for employees. However, this condition of employment only acquires real meaning after the end of one's working life.

Pensions comprise one of the most important employment conditions for employees. However, this condition of employment only acquires real meaning after the end of one's working life. This long-term outcome means that not every employee takes the trouble (at the right time) to get to the bottom of the relevant pension product. There is a lot of confusion among employees when it comes to pension provisions such as old age pension (AOW), retirement age, pensionable age, early retirement, part-time pension, etc.

The documents below concisely present VHP2’s vision on pensions. ‘Concise’ because we want to limit ourselves to the main issues in this memorandum. Pensions can be built up in industry or company pension funds, but also with insurers. Many of the current issues mainly apply to pension funds. But insured schemes also present issues, such as the average contribution system, discount rate, indexation opportunities, etc.
