The trade union VHP2 (VHP2, we, our) represents collectively and individually the interests of its members and focuses on high-quality services. Our members appreciate our honest, accessible and high-quality services. This approach can be seen in our newsletters, updates, blogs and on our website.
To enable us to provide these services for our members and other interested parties we process your personal details in our customer relation management (CRM) system.
We collect the personal details of our members within the scope of their membership. In addition, we collect the details of persons who have registered to receive a newsletter and/or who have explicitly asked us to send them information, such as a white paper.
We collect data about you:
Directly from you, through the data that you have supplied to us via your registration form and/or that you have updated via mijnvhp2. The data that you have supplied to us during the registration for our newsletter or the request for a white paper.
We have three legal bases to process your personal details.

We need the personal details that we have marked with an asterisk (*) to be able to send you newsletters or a white paper. You may of course refuse to provide us with certain details. However, this may mean that we are not able to send you messages or address them correctly.
Your personal details are NOT shared with third parties. There are two exceptions:
We store your membership details during your membership and for up to 2 years following the termination of your membership. If you have registered for our newsletters we will store your details until the time that you let us know that you no longer want to receive our newsletters or we discover that your e-mail address no longer exists. If you have requested us to send you a white paper, then we will store your details until 1 year after your request.
Version 1 September 2018. In accordance with our rules and regulations you can terminate your membership and unsubscribe from our newsletters. You can do this by clicking on the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of our newsletters. Furthermore, within certain legal boundaries you have the right to:
We will do everything within our power to ensure that your wishes with regard to exercising the above rights are honoured. If, in your opinion, this has not happened correctly we kindly request you to notify us of this. If you still have complaints about the way in which we have handled your personal details then you also have the right to submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
